Plumbing Built for Eastern Idaho Winters
The City of Idaho Falls requires a plumbing permit before any installation, alteration, repair, replacement or remodel. Clearing a clog or stopping a minor leak is exempt. Starting without a permit costs double, so we pull it before work begins.
All plumbing in the city has to be done by an Idaho State-licensed plumbing contractor, with one exception: a homeowner can do the work on their own home if they plan to live in it as their primary residence for at least a year afterward.
Winter is the busy season: frozen lines in exterior walls and crawl spaces, split hose bibs and basement backups. A few minutes of prevention each fall saves a lot of water damage.
